In Act ll Scene 1, I feel that Troy was very disrespectful to Rose. He was insensitive to her feelings. I believe he didn't present his baby news in the right way. Troy has never done anything like this so after all these years of Rose and Troy being married, of course Rose is going to be hurt.
In Act ll scene 1, in my opinion Troy was wrong and he definitely regrets the past. However , it was very disloyal of him. Which leads to rose isolating herself away from Troy which is what she means by " building a fence" .
In Act II Scene 1, I felt shocked about the news. I think Troy is disloyal as Yariza said, and dishonest to Rose. He did not think twice when he betrayed Rose. Troy did what he wanted at the moment, and he did not think about Rose's feelings, and how much she would get hurt.
In Act Two, scene one, the news Troy delivered to Rose that he impregnated another women, was pretty shocking and upsetting. Troy is now a character I truly dislike; he is also very disappointing. I feel as if Troy don't deserve a good hardworking woman like Rose. She has played the role of a strong mother and a loving, caring wife, however, Troy did not play the expectation of a husband.
I feel disgusted by Troy for being unloyal to Rose. Not only was Troy not the best father but he has proven himself to be disappointment of a husband. He doesn't deserve Rose after hurting her like this and now he has made himself untrustworthy.
I feel that troy is a very unworthy father and husband toward rose. She works so much and makes sure her family is satisfied. Troy definitely does not deserve rose after impregnated another woman
I'm really disappointed with Troy's behavior, rose is a wonderful women and she is such a dedicated hardwoker who wants to make sure her family is happy and by Troy impregnating another women really shows something about the type of person he is.
I agree with everyone. I felt angry with what Troy told Rose. Before Troy told Rose the news Bono kept reminding his that Rose is a good woman and Troy knows that, but this woman just stuck on him even though he tried to throw her off. While reading this I was wondering how can he do this to Rose. When Troy told Rose, she felt disappointed, shocked, betrayed, and angrier. It's just unbelievable that that Troy had another woman and impregnated her. No one likes this kind of situation.
I was shocked at the news Troy told Rose. I wasn't expecting him to cheat on her and have a baby behind her back. I don't think he's fit to father another child considering how he treats Cory. It seemed that Tory loved Rose a lot, him cheating on her was surprising.
I think troy was wrong on doing things that were going to hurt Rose's feelings and i also think that troy didn't think about the consequences. Rose is a really good person, she's also really kind . A guy like him doesn't deserve a woman like rose.

Before reading this i was sure that Troy was in Love with Rose, but now i see everything differntly. It's really sad , but I also think that Troy would be a good dad because after all that happend he takes responsibility for the things that he had done and he was the one how told Rose the truth.
This scene makes me a little angry becasue of what he did.What troy did was not right it was honestly disrespectful. He doesnt treat her right. Troy is insensitive to her feelings. I believe he didn't present his baby news in the right way. Rose could find someone alot better then Troy. But at times troy does what he has to do even if it is wrong or right.
In this scene, I was absolutely shocked because throughout the book Troy was characterized as being the man of the house. He was the one that worked the most to support the house. He even said he had a responsibility to take care of the family but to betray Rose and impregnating another woman just absolutely shocked me. I feel sorry for Rose because Rose was standing with Troy for 18 years to have him betray her like that.
I felt shocked and disappointed.After 18 years of marriage with Rose, Troy suddenly informs her that he's gonna be a father with another woman. I remember towards the beginning of the play, Troy says it's his responsibility to be the man of the house. After reading the scene, I don't think it helps prove that he is anymore. However, I feel somewhat satisfied because he was brave enough to tell Rose the truth instead of lying to her while hiding the truth.
I was astonished when I read about the news Troy told Rose in this scene. This is because throughout the play, Troy talks about how much he loves his wife and that he is grateful that he has her, but this isn't shown when he has an affair with another women. Troy was perceived to be a loyal person, but this isn't the case when he decides to impregnate another women for his satisfaction, knowing that he still had his wife Rose and his son Cory at home.
After reading Act II Scene i, I feel sorry for Rose and dissapointed in Troy. In the last scene, we learned the many challenges Troy faces as a child and some still to this day. For instance, we learned how he walked two hundred miles just to find a job and how vile his father was. With this in mind, I would have great respect for him as he accomplished many great feats. However after learning about his secret affair, I lost respect for Troy. This secret affair was a selfish act Troy made that is inexcusable.
The news Troy breaks to Rose is that he has slept with another woman and got her pregnant. Of course this is shocking news to Rose as all my classmates have said and very unloyal of Troy because he is someone Roase trusted. I feel shocked as well from this news but overwhelmingly disgusted that Troy could be so insensitive towards the woman he claims he loves and I definitely agree with Quoc that his secret affair was selfish and inexcuseable. I believe Troy isn't entirely bad because he does tell Rose the truth but the betray and disrespect shown in his actions is irreversible.
