Gabe thinks Troy's mad at him because he moved away to Miss Pearl's to live on his own. The text includes Rose saying, "He thinks Troy's mad at him cause he moved over to Miss Pearl's." Gabe pays rent while living with her and she doesn't mind him living there. Troy claims to not care by saying he doesn't put rules on him but I believe he cares.
I agree with Arber because he does care that gabe is somewhere else. But either way gabe probably misses him too, even tho he he wants to live somewhere else.
I agree with everyone above. Gabe thinks that Troy is mad at him because Gabe moved to Miss Pearl's as saying on pages 25 and 48. Gabe found a residency to live, but Troy is not happy about it, and he says that he does not care about where Gabe is living, but in reality he does care.
Gabe thinks Troy is mad at him because of how careless he acts in the book. Even though he moved on with his life. To know the feeling of living on your own. To become a young adult, Troy truly cares about gabe taking this next step.

I agree with Anwaar And Arber I think they're both right because Troy is really mad at him , because he moved out and he wants to live on his own but troy is also acting like he don't care and the's good with that but deep inside he's kida broken about that

Miss Pearl doesn't mind him living there because he pays rent, the text even says that she "doesn't mind that rent he be paying". I believe Troy is upset that Gabe moved out but acts like he doesn't care because he wants one of his children (Lyons) to be more dependent and work so it would be hypocritical if he admitted he was hurt by Gabe's act of independence.

I believe Gabe thinks Troy is mad at him simply because Troy will not looking over Gave as he is moving out. Ever since that incident, Troy has been clearly seen respecting Gabe, unlike everyone else. The reason why was because Gabe is mentally-ill and needs to be taken care of. There is an issue greater than Troy not being able to take care of Gabe. Even though Gabe is mentally-ill, I believe his bizzare sayings are significant. "Better get ready for the Judgement! Better get ready." This is most likely foreshadowing an event because of Gabe moving out. I agree with Sergio because Troy is described as a wise person. Therefore when Troy does not like Miss Pearl, that means he know Miss Pearl is up to no good.
